This is Yakini, a lovely western lowland gorilla that had a rough start to life requiring round the clock care after he was born at the Werribee Zoo. He’s 23 years old now, but his baby pictures still get a lot of attention. His baby pictures aren’t the only thing remarkable about him however! Despite struggling to survive in the first days of his life, when Yakini was nine years old he sent the zoo into lockdown by escaping to enjoy the other exhibits on his own. He was brought home after being found and subsequently tranquilized in the elephant enclosure. Here’s him now as the leader of his bachelor troupe, enjoying himself:
once again, don’t want any terfs touching this. also: doing this a second time bc a lot of people found the old one after it was done (i forgot to change the duration from day to week. this new one will last a week)
I’m a man so sorry for reblogging this if that’s not ok but Why on fucking earth would you do that
Period = ouch!
werewolves = cool ^_^
I thought 1 of the whole points of turning into a were wolf was it was like EXCRUCIATING
Well how it’s supposed to feel depends on the fiction it’s being shown in, and I guess an important part is that since it’s fiction we can imagine it would be nicer and nobody can prove we’re wrong?
Period - curled up in pain for a couple days because my uterus is throwing a temper tantrum. Expected to push through it and continue my life.
Lycanthropy - painful transition into wolf form but have heightened wolf senses, powerful body and bite. Expected to stay at home.
Lycanthropy pain is like, a few seconds at most. Cramps are hours to days long. Not comparable.
